Winner of Arts Media and Culture Award
In November 2025, I received the West Country Women’s “Women in Arts, Media and Culture” Award, which I accepted at The Crowne Plaza in Plymouth. I had been selected as a finalist from over 2,000 nominees throughout the South West region.
Trish Caller of Genius PR and Events, the judge for this award, explained:
“This category attracted a huge number of nominations from across the West Country. People with theatre, dance, drama, art, music experience etc...
It was a difficult job to whittle down the applications to choose the finalists. The standard of the finalists was extremely high!
Ellie's application was bursting with examples of her fantastic projects and so many people had supported her and written some amazing quotes about what her work meant to the communities blessed with her murals!
Mrs Murals thoroughly deserved to be announced as our winner! We are thrilled for her!”
Winner of The Solo Entrepreneur of the Year Award
In February 2024, my work was recognised at the respected South West Business and Community Awards, where I received my award during a ceremony in Wiltshire. Out of more than 1,200 nominees from across the South West, I was shortlisted for both Female Entrepreneur of the Year and Solo Entrepreneur of the Year, and won the Solo Entrepreneur of the Year award.
The judges commented: "You are passionate about working ethically and with consideration for the environment. Your art has demonstrated that it has the power to change and uplift spirits by transforming dark and gloomy community spaces into bright, positive ones – Well Done!"
More recognition
In April 2024, I became a finalist in the National Business and Community Awards for “Solo Entrepreneur of the Year”, and in October 2024, I was announced as a finalist for the Devon Women In Business Awards for “Sole Trader of the Year”. In November 2025, I was also a finalist for the Devon Women in Business “Contribution to the Community” and “Inspirational Leader” awards.
